Reflections upon one year or knitting January 14, 2011

So, I’ve been knitting now for almost a year, or at least, knitting more than incorrectly done, 7-foot long garter stitch scarves in acrylic yarn. I knit my first (through sixth?) pairs of socks, several hats, a jockstrap, played around with colorwork, cables, lace, and tried my hand at designing some patterns. I’ve given several hundred dollars to Yarn Mart, I’m sure.

So, what’s next for this year? I’d love to try some entrelac designs:

I’d like to also work on some more lace projects, maybe a shawl? Am I really 70 years old? I also plan on playing around some more with fun yarns, instead of using Cascade 220 worsted for everything.

Anyone have any ideas? You know, if you’re curious to keep up with my knitting, you can always look at my Ravelry account… there’s a link on the sidebar.

Oh god! I never did take a picture of that mess. I don’t think I ever even made the ears for it? If you’ve got a picture laying around, I’d be glad to put one on my ravelry account. To clarify, though – I haven’t ever actually made anything like that thing on my post, it’s in my list though! That ravelry link on the sidebar —–> has pictures of most of my projects.
